It’s been a very long time since my last post, so I thought that it might be time to get back into the swing of it again. I’ve been quite busy with school (especially since I am approaching graduation), and other life stuff, so I am sorry if I haven’t been able to keep up with all of you.
Since I do still have some work/school stuff to accomplish today, I thought that I would do a brief update on the latest activities and then go from there within the next few weeks. John and I had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. While most people get candy and flowers for loved ones on V-day, John and I go to the zoo, hehe. We decided this year that we wanted to go to the aquarium, since we’ve been to all of the AZA accredited zoos in Washington (and we don’t have enough money to drive anywhere). It was a lot different from how I remember it, and a lot busier which was wonderful to see. They put in a lot of new educational activities for the little kids and a lot more “touching ponds” which is fun for everyone! I really liked their plastic ring that had jellyfish cycling through it with changing colors. John got a nice picture of it! I was also very excited to see all of the mammals again, especially the River Otters.
When we finished at the aquarium, we decided that since we don’t spend much time downtown, it would be a waste to head home so early (plus we had already spent $15 in parking) so we headed to Pike’s Place Market. Since John has never seen the fish guys throw the fish we were hoping for some action, but they weren’t having it. When the sun started to set, we decided that it would be great to head up to one of the drumlin hills (Queen Anne) to view the sunset and we stumbled upon Kerry Park. John stated that he had been there before but couldn’t exactly remember where it was, thus I use the word “stumbled”. We reached it at the perfect time; the sun was setting, Mt. Rainier was glowing, and the sky was clear. It was beautiful.
All in all, it was a great “couple” day which we do not get often.

I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
